41st GIANTS INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION AT AHMEDABAD

41ST Giants International Convention was held for three days at Ahmedabad from 18th December to 20th December 2015 . Total 1376 delegates reported at the convention site on 18th December at Sanskar Kendra ,Paldi . Ahmedabad. In the afternoon, concurrent sessions were held. Saheli Symposium was chaired by Mrs Meera Agarwal, Past PresidentsForum was presided over by Deputy World Chairman Vijay Chaudhary , orientation of Federation Presidents elect was presided over by Deputy World Chairman M.Laxmanan. In the night, delegates were entertained by J.P.Oza and party.
On 2nd day, the inaugural session was held. Finance Minister of Gujarat Shri Saurabhbhai Patel was the chief guest. Popular film star Juhi Chawla, Shri Purshottam Rupala, Mayor of Ahmedabad Gautambhai Shah, and Chairman, Standing Commidttee ,Shri Pravinbhai Patel , were Guests of Honour. World Chairman Mr Nana Chudasama and World Chairperson Ms Shaina N.C presided over the function. Mrs Munira Chudasama also graced the function.
After Diya lighting , Shri Rajesh Joshi convention co-ordinator and Pravinbhai Naik , convention chairman welcomed all the delegates. Shri Shyam Mota was the delegate from Mauritius and Mrs Chetna Desai was the delegate from Nairobi, Africa.
World Chairperson Shaina N.C informed that ORGAN DONATION AWARENESS PROGRAM will be the theme of the year 2016.Depudty World Chairman Shri Baldevbhai Patel gave details of the various sessions of the convention

Sovenier published by Giants Group of Ahmedabad North was released. The banner of ORGAN DONATION prepared by Dr.kamal Jain was also released. The calendar for promoting organ donation program was also released.
Shri Gautambhai Shah Mayor of Ahmedabad gave a call to all delegates to be the Ambassador for SWACHHTBHARAT ABHIYAN of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Eminent filem star Juhi Chawla was impressed by the presence of large number of delegates . She emphasised that it is the good work that would be taking you to God.
Shri Jaya Vasavada was the keynote speaker. Adressing the gathering, chief guest Saurabhbhai Patel,Finance Minister of Gujarat emphasised on INCLUSIVE GROWTH which will not be possible without peoples involvement. He gave a call to giants members to go to villages . shri Patel assured that he will do his best to remove the bottlenecks in interstate organ donation. He informed that Pancreas, Eardrum and Intestine can also be donated in addition to Heart, Eyes, Kidney and Liver.
Deputy world Chairmen Nooruddin Sevwallah, Vijay Chaudhary andSirish Kapadia also were on the dias along with all convention committee members.
In the afternoon session, a documentary film on Nana’s life was shown.

During night of 2nd day, Ras-Garba was presented by Arun Rajguru.
On the 3rd day, Dr Anway Mulay thrilled the audience by narrating the incident of heart transplant. The heart was donated by a brain-dead person in Surat which was taken to Fortis Hospital at Mulund,Mumbai. Within 3 hours the heart was transplanted and soon it started beating in the body of the donee. He suggested that the ORGAN DONATION ACT should be amended so that no permission is required from State Government in case of interstate organ transplants. He was thankful to the police department for arranging a green corridor for transporting the heart from Surat to Mumbai.

During next session, Oath was given to Federation Presidents elect by deputy world Chairman Vijay Chaudhary.
Deputy World Chairman Shirish Kapadia spoke on national extension.
Mrs Sharmishta Shah spoke on international extension.
Deputy world Chairman Dinesh Malani presented the NCF Certificates.

IT WAS DECIDED THAT 42ND GIANTS INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION WILL BE HELD AT NAGPUR FROM 16TH DECEMBER TO 18TH DECEMBER 2016.
Shri Kirtibhai Solanki ,Member of Parliament addressed the gathering.
Er.Ashok Hukkeri, chairman,awards committee made announcements of Giants International Awards .
Open forum was held and world chairperson Shaina N.C gave the concluding remark.
Vote of thanks was given by Dilipbhai.S.Patel, convention Secretary.
The 41st Giants International Convention concluded at 1.30 p.m on 20th December,2015.
